AVB Media Asia is proud to announce the release of their latest production, Bali Life is an Offering official DVD. Bali: Life is an Offering is a journey of discovering true Bali. Produced by an award-winning international team, the movie is a multifaceted documentary film luminous with images of Bali’s rich traditional culture and breathtaking natural beauty. It is inspired by the cross-cultural collaborations that are happening in Bali, revolving around exceptional people who live and work to preserve Bali’s culture and beauty in a sustainable, positive way.
Inspired by the Balinese philosophical concept Tri Hita Karana – harmony between the divine, humankind and nature – Bali Life is an Offering explores the resplendent natural beauty, graceful people and age-old spiritual traditions that characterize this unique island, and the transformative effect they have on all who visit.
The documentary is a song in praise of ancient Balinese wisdom; a homage to the richness of modern-day inter-cultural exchange; and a visionary celebration of how the “Island of the Gods”, with all its beauty and spiritual power, can move sustainably into the future, despite the massive challenges facing its culture and people.
Like the flower offerings that are ubiquitous in Bali and offered with reverence as a daily practice, “Bali Life Is An Offering” is also an offering– an offering of gratitude for all that Bali was, is and has the potential to become.
Having taken more than three years to complete, the movie is the most comprehensive cinematic record of modern Bali ever made. Directed by Kim Kindersley (Whaledreamers) and Co-Produced by Robert Weber (Bali Spirit) and Paulus Arianto (AVB Media Asia), the movie is a swirling, luminous celebration of indigenous beauty and expat inspiration, rendered through epic scenery and cinematic orchestration.
As Managing Director of AVB Media Asia, Paulus Arianto has personally overseen all productions since AVB Media Asia’s inception in 2002.
“Through camera lenses we capture the essence of each character, working in their individual ways to maintain and enhance Bali’s unique harmony and beauty in a positive, compassionate way with a clear unifying message amongst all of them: Bali is a living treasure that deserves to be cared for,” says Paulus Arianto,”We hope this film can inspire people all around the globe that Bali is a global heritage.”
A percentage for every DVD sales support the underprivileged in Bali where the documentary originates – and where there is significant need. Charities are Foundation For Future Children, Anika Linden Foundation, Bali Angels, Tri Hita Karana, IDEP and Biorock.
